Vash enters a town hoping to find a well known gunsmith. His gun needs repairs. He discovers the man has become a drunk. It turns out
he built guns for everyone in town to protect them from thieves and bandits. Now he is a lowly bum. He covinces Vash to buy
him a drink. The two get drunk and head back to the man's house. The next day a group of bandits plan on robbing a bank.
Vash and the drunk guy run into them, and Vash plans on stopping them. The man thinks it is a bad idea, but Vash is able to
change his mind. Vash confronts the criminals and the gunsmith sneaks up behind them and gets the drop on them. The bank is
saved, and the guy fixes Vash's gun. The guy also decides to give up drinking.
